In order to start the practical work of producing 72 megawatts of electricity from coal sources, a coordination meeting was held with the officials of Awfi Bahram Company.
 The Acting Minister of the Ministry of Energy and Water, H.E Mulla Abdul Latif Mansoor, discussed and exchanged ideas with the officials of Awfi Bahram Mining and Processing Trading Company about the start of the practical work of building a 72 MW power plant in Paktika province.
 In this meeting, the company expressed its readiness to start the practical work of the project and emphasized on speeding up the initial work on both sides in order to prepare the ground for the start of the practical work.
 Also, in this visit, the officials of the mentioned company expressed their desire to carry out activities in the field of Islamic banking in Afghanistan, and the Acting Minister of the Ministry of Energy and Water praised their interest and assured that the The ministry of energy and water will cooperate with them in relevant sectors.
 It is worth noting that some time ago, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Ministry of Energy and Water and the mentioned company for the purpose of implementing the 72 MW electricity generation project from coal sources.
