Minister of Water and Energy Meets with Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Minister of Energy

The Minister of Water and Energy of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Al-Haj Mullah Mohammad Younus “Akhundzada,” accompanied by his delegation, met with Mr. Mohammad Ibrahim, Deputy Minister of Energy of Saudi Arabia, during his official visit to the Kingdom.

During the meeting, both sides discussed utilizing existing opportunities in the energy sector, particularly expanding cooperation in solar and wind energy, exchanging technical expertise, and initiating joint activities.

The Minister of Water and Energy, Al-Haj Mullah Mohammad Younus “Akhundzada,” extended an official invitation to the Saudi Deputy Minister of Energy and technical officials to visit Afghanistan.

The Saudi Deputy Minister welcomed the invitation and expressed his commitment to sending officials and a technical team to Afghanistan in the near future to assess available opportunities and discuss practical mechanisms for joint cooperation.
