Six projects worth over 109 million Afghanis in Rodato district of Nangarhar province have been handed over to benefit the region. The ceremony took place in the presence of H.E Mullah Abdul Latif Mansoor, The Acting Minister of Energy and Water, Honorable Mawlawi Said Ahmad Banuri, Deputy Governor of Nangarhar, and several other local officials.
During the ceremony, the Acting Minister of Energy and Water mentioned that the ministry has balanced programs for water management and energy production at the national level, As part of this initiative, plans to implement water supply, dams construction, and similar projects in the eastern zone and Nangarhar province and the practical work will begin at the right time after receiving the budget. 
These projects include a 33-meter-long and one-meter-high water weir, a 735-meter-long and 2-meter-wide water channel, a 900-meter-long flume cleaning and repairing, 24 check dams, hundreds of meters of retaining walls, and small water reservoirs in Roghano, Qatragha, and Mirja villages of this district.
The WFP organization provided financial support for these projects, with technical cooperation from the A.I.D organization and under the supervision of the Nangarhar river basin, providing employment opportunities for many people.
In addition to visiting various projects in Nangarhar province, the Acting Minister of Energy and Water also visited a water reservoir in Bala Kot area of Kot district in the mentioned province, which stores about 83 thousand cubic meters of water.
