The Acting Minister of Energy and Water of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, H.E. Alhaj Mullah Abdul Latif Mansoor, and his accompanying delegation met today with the Minister of Energy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Honorable Mehrabian.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Honorable Minister of Energy of the Islamic Republic of Iran welcomed H.E. Mansoor and the accompanying delegation, followed by the Minister of Energy and Water of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, thanking them for hosting them, providing living conditions in their land for Afghan refugees and He also expressed gratitude for their support of the jihad of the Muslim and Mujahid nation of Afghanistan against the invading forces.

Later, the delegations of the two countries discussed the extension of the agreement on the import of electricity from Iran to Afghanistan and the electricity tariff. 
Both sides tasked technical groups to examine all aspects of the issue in detail and prepare them for consensus by the next meeting.

Also, the Acting Minister of Energy and Water and his accompanying delegation visited the Siyabesha Dam in the north of Tehran today, which produces nearly 1000 MW of electricity, They were warmly welcomed by the officials of the dam, And provided them with information about the mentioned dam.
