The Acting Minister of Energy and Water, H.E. Mullah Abdul Latif Mansoor, along with a number of Directors and technical officials from this ministry, visited the Shah Toot (Lalandar) irrigation and power generation dam area.
The Acting Minister, during his visit to the dam's area, emphasized its vital value for the citizens of Kabul and highlighted the ongoing efforts to soon commence its construction.
The Shah Toot (Lalandar) Irrigation and Power Generation Dam stands as one of the significant projects under the Ministry of Energy and Water.
It aims to provide drinking water, irrigate agricultural lands, and generate electricity in Chahar Asyab district of Kabul.
With a water storage capacity of 146 million cubic meters and a height of 92 meters, the dam not only ensures drinking water for many Kabul residents but also facilitates irrigation across approximately 2,080 hectares of agricultural land, ultimately benefiting over two million people.
